The Archaeological Park
Baia, Italy

…investigating an underground enigma

Baia is located in the north west of the Bay of Naples, Italy
Buried in the South West of a Roman archaeological site is an intriguing complex of underground tunnels…

🔍Do these tunnels represent a legendary Greek Oracle of the Dead, said to be located in this region? Dr Paget and other academics agree they do.

🔍Aren’t they simply the remains of a steam channel, feeding a set of small Roman baths at the surface? Some experts believe this to be the case.

🔍Perhaps there is another explanation that nobody has yet thought of? I hope you will enjoy exploring this site and decide for yourself.
